LA QUINTA, CA — Prime Time Produce has released Where Purpose Takes Root: Our Pledge to Growing Greater Together, marking the beginning of the company's formal sustainability reporting journey. The pledge outlines Prime Time's environmental and social priorities and establishes the framework for its first Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) report, scheduled for release in 2027.
Built around four pillars, Our Practices, Our People, Our World, and Our Promise, the pledge highlights the company's commitment to responsible farming, employee investment, community support, and transparent environmental reporting. It also reflects how Prime Time is grounded in the belief that progress without measurement is guesswork, making honesty the first step toward meaningful improvement.
"Today, customers, partners, employees, and communities are asking more of the companies they work with," said Prime Time CEO Mike Way. "They want to know not only what we grow, pack, and ship, but how we operate, how we care for our people, and how we are preparing for the future. That is why this pledge matters."
The pledge highlights initiatives already underway across Prime Time's operations, including reduced tillage practices, renewable energy investments, material recycling programs, and science-based food safety systems. It also shares key operational metrics, including more than 1 million pounds of fresh produce donated in 2025, 312,000 kWh of renewable energy generated through solar power, and ongoing efforts to strengthen workforce development and ethical business practices.
As part of its long-term commitment to transparency, Prime Time is developing its first Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas inventory for U.S. operations. The company plans to continue expanding data collection across its international operations and supply chain.
“This pledge reflects the work that's already happening across our business. Over the next year, we'll continue working across our operations to strengthen data collection and build a reliable foundation for our first ESG report in 2027. That work is important because meaningful sustainability starts with understanding where we are today so we can make informed decisions for the future,” said Nicole Bryon, Head of Sustainability & Social Responsibility.
